What is Rapid-Q

As Rapid-Q's developer, William Yu, says on his Rapid-Q site:
Rapid-Q is a semi-OO multiplatform GUI/CONSOLE BASIC Compiler For Windows, Linux and several Unix flavours. It directly supports DirectX, Direct3D, MySQL, Sockets, CGI, and IDE w/Form designer. Its syntax is relatively close to QBasic, so porting your code shouldn't take long. No extra runtimes involved, the interpreter is embedded.

As Jake Wilson says on his RapidQ Club site:

What is RapidQ? A Windows version of QuickBasic basicly, and a very good one at that. It has a VisualBasic style compiler, but Qbasic language. It supports Sockets, DLLs, MySql, and can do COM programming. It can compile programs for DOS (console), Windows (GUI), and even CGI programs. Last but not least, there is a Unix/Linux version!!! It's what every QuickBasic programmer needs to program Windows Apps.

Although I have written a few programs so far, I have not prepared any help as yet.
I do intend writing some tutorials for beginners, but this may well take some time while I learn more first.
Meanwhile, if you have any interest, follow up the links at the top of this page, and feel free to contact me at any stage and I'll help you as best I can.
